Behind Kulchi: Roots, Ritual, and Radiance

Founder of Kulchi cracking organ nuts by hand in Morocco, honoring ancestral rituals of beauty and wellness.

“Carrying forward the same rituals my grandmother and great-grandmother practiced, cracking argan by hand reminds me that Kulchi is not just a brand — it’s a legacy.”

Welcome to Kulchi. My name is Sofia, and KulchiSouk was born out of both heritage and heart.

I grew up surrounded by the richness of Moroccan traditions — the hammam rituals, the vibrant souks, and the artistry passed down through generations. Each item carried a story, whether it was a handcrafted caftan, a jar of amlou made with love, or a pair of babouches stitched by hand. These weren’t just products — they were connections to identity, memory, and legacy.

As I built my life here in the U.S., I dreamed of creating something that could bridge both worlds: a space where Moroccan craftsmanship and ancestral beauty could be celebrated and shared. That dream became Kulchi, which in Moroccan Darija means “everything.”

Kulchi is my way of honoring artisans who keep these traditions alive, while offering you a curated selection of beauty, home, and lifestyle goods that embody authenticity and care. Each product is thoughtfully chosen to tell a story of roots, ritual, and radiance — a reminder that beauty and wellness can be both simple and deeply meaningful.

More than a shop, Kulchi is a vision for the future. It’s about creating a legacy for my children, building bridges across cultures, and proving that handmade, ethical goods have a powerful place in our modern lives.

Thank you for being here at the beginning of this journey. I hope each piece you bring home from Kulchi connects you to something bigger — a tradition, a memory, a ritual, or simply a moment of beauty in your day.

With gratitude,
Sofia
